If you see a purple mark on your Operator鈥檚 neck, congratulations, you鈥檝e got a Helminth Cyst! Go to your Orbiter's Infirmary and cleanse it. Problem solved!
Just ignore it. It doesn鈥檛 affect gameplay and you can let it grow for a while, if that's your thing.
From personal experience, visiting the Helminth in your ship's Infestation Chamber will clear that pesky purple mark right up!
