I’ve tried every which way, folks, and as far as I know, Shao Kahn isn't a playable character in MK9. Bummer, right?

Beat the Story Mode to unlock the chance to fight Shao Kahn, but *spoiler alert*: you can’t play as him. He's strictly a boss character!

You can't actually play as Shao Kahn in Mortal Kombat 9 without using cheats or mods. He's a boss character, not letting you steal his thunder so easily!
