To get the Bee Gun in Terraria, you gotta take down the Queen Bee boss. She lurks in the Bee Hives found in the Underground Jungle. Gear up, dive into the jungle, find a hive, and break the Larva inside to summon her. Beat her, and she might drop the Bee Gun among other loot. Remember, it's all about patience and dodging those stingers!
Had to battle the Queen Bee like 5 times before she dropped the Bee Gun for me. Worth it though, makes dealing with crowds a breeze with its homing bees. Make sure you've got good gear and potions, and maybe bring a friend to make the fight easier!
