Getting the Mechanical Eye in Terraria is pretty straightforward! First off, you can craft it using 6 Lenses, 5 Iron Bars (or Lead Bars if that's what you've got), and 3 Souls of Light. You need to do this at a Mythril or Orichalcum Anvil. Another way to get it is by defeating the Wandering Eye or the Demon Eye during a hardmode night. They have a small chance of dropping it, so get ready for some eye-popping action!
Just buy it from the Travelling Merchant, lol. Why bother crafting?
