Hot take: Just use a Lifeform Analyzer; it makes finding the Nymph way easier since it alerts you when rare creatures are nearby. Sure, it's not a Metal Detector, but it helps you get one step closer to finding that elusive Nymph.

To snag yourself a Metal Detector in Terraria, you've gotta defeat the Nymph, one of the rarest enemies in the game. These tricky foes can be found wandering around in the Cavern layers. Keep your eyes peeled, because she disguises herself as a Lost Girl before revealing her true, deadly form. Good luck, you're gonna need it!

Not gonna lie, it took me FOREVER to get the Metal Detector. Finally bagged a Nymph after days of spelunking. Key advice? Patience and a Lifeform Analyzer. Happy hunting!

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
