How to get the most minions in Terraria

I tried stacking a bunch of different gear once, thinking I could bend the rules. Nope. Stick to Stardust Armor, Necromantic Scroll, Papyrus Scarab, and a Pygmy Necklace. Then pop a Summoning Potion. That's the legit way to get the most minions following you around.
Just wear Stardust Armor and eat a Summoning Potion. Boom, max minions.
