Basically, wait for it or make a Solar Tablet to force it. Easy peasy.

Nah, just keep playing. The Solar Eclipse will happen when it wants. It's more fun when it's a surprise!

Summoning a Solar Eclipse in Terraria is pretty straightforward but requires patience. You can't directly summon it at will when you start. Instead, it has a chance to occur naturally each day after you've defeated at least one mechanical boss (The Destroyer, Skeletron Prime, or The Twins). The chance is about 1 in 20 (5%). But, if you're feeling impatient, you can use a Solar Tablet to summon the eclipse whenever you fancy. You can craft a Solar Tablet by combining a Solar Tablet Fragment (dropped by Lihzahrds and Flying Snakes in the Jungle Temple) at a Mythril or Orichalcum Anvil.

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
