The Wandering Trader in Terraria isn't a character or feature you can spawn like you would a boss or event. Terraria doesn't actually have a 'Wandering Trader' like other games, but it does have traveling merchants! To get the Traveling Merchant to show up, you need to have at least 2 NPCs and there's a random chance each day (in-game) that he'll appear. Make sure your NPC housing is up to snuff to increase your chances!

I've had days where the Traveling Merchant showed up back-to-back, and then not at all for a week. It's all RNG (Random Number Generation), baby! Just play the game, make sure you've got the minimum NPC requirements, and keep an eye out between 4:30 AM and 12:00 AM game time.

Honestly, don't sweat it too much. The Traveling Merchant's inventory is hit or miss most of the time. Focus on exploring and defeating bosses, and he'll show up eventually when you least expect it.

Just build more houses, lol. The 'Wandering Trader' you're looking for is probably the Traveling Merchant, and he needs a place to visit.

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
