You can obtain Yama by defeating 30 Elite Pirates around the game. Once you've done that, head to the Great Tree area and interact with the scroll to unlock your prize. Happy hunting!
Just grind out the Elite Pirates, and Yama should be yours! Simple but time-consuming.
From personal experience, I got Yama after defeating a bunch of boss enemies across different islands. It took a bit of time, but it was worth it for the power boost!
