Unfortunately, in Fortnite, you can't gift skins you already own. You can only gift items directly from the Item Shop to your friends.

You can't gift skins you already own in Fortnite. But hey, maybe your friends can get some V-Bucks and buy their own!

I tried gifting my sweet Skull Trooper to a friend, but you can't gift owned skins directly. You can only send gifts from the Item Shop.
