I don't get the hype with pumpkins. Just focus on building and exploring. Pumpkins are a waste of time.

Growing pumpkins in Terraria is super simple and adds a fun spooky vibe to your game! All you gotta do is get yourself some Pumpkin Seeds from the Dryad during October or anytime by planting Hallowed seeds or using a Staff of Regrowth on grass. Once you've got your seeds, just plant them on any grass block. No need for water or special care; these gourds grow all on their own.
