You can invite friends by opening up your game, hitting 'Esc', and clicking 'Invite Friends' to toss them an invite through Steam.

Hot take: Valheim’s multiplayer is so intuitive, just create a server and send invites through Steam. Simple as that!

Just start a game, then open the pause menu, and click 'Invite Friends'. Select your buddies from the Steam friend list, and you're good to go!
