Yeah, it's not possible to JTAG your Xbox 360 without opening it up. You'll need to physically modify it if you want to go that route.

Sorry, you can't JTAG an Xbox 360 with a USB without popping it open. The JTAG hack requires soldering to the motherboard. Time to grab a screwdriver!

Just use RGH (Reset Glitch Hack) instead. It also requires opening the console, but it’s more modern and flexible!
