Leaving the Soul Society? Just wrap up the missions and find the exit point. It's how I did it, and it worked like a charm.
I finished some key missions and then used a teleport option in the menu. Check your quest log for hints!
I think you just hit up your menu and there should be an option to teleport out when you're done with everything.
You gotta finish all the tasks and quests in Soul Society first. Then, look for a portal or NPC that will get you back.
