Loading a crab pot with bait in Stardew Valley is super easy! Just have the bait in your inventory, then right-click (or tap, if you're playing on mobile) on the crab pot that's already placed in water. Bam! Your crab pot is now baited and ready to catch some aquatic goodies.
Been there, done that. Always make sure you've got the crab pot placed in water first, though. Tried baiting it on land once 'cause I was distracted by my cat. Spoiler: doesn't work.
