Taming boars is overrated. Just hunt 'em for meat and leather, and save yourself the trouble.
As someone who's spent way too much time in Valheim, I found it super helpful to sneak up on boars while they're eating the bait. That way, they don't get spooked and run off.
You can also build a pen and leave the food inside. Once they come in, close the gate behind 'em. Boom, instant boar buddies.
