Super easy and fun project ahead! Grab some cardboard, a couple of rubber bands, a paper clip, and tape. Cut the cardboard into a long strip and a smaller piece for the trigger mechanism. Attach the rubber bands to the end of the long strip (this is your tension system). Then, use the paper clip and tape to create a trigger on the smaller piece of cardboard. Assemble it so when you press the trigger, it releases the tension, sending your Hot Wheels flying!

Made one last summer with my kid! We added some pizzazz by decorating the launcher with race car stickers and flames to make it look super cool. The key is making sure the rubber band is tight enough for good propulsion but not so tight it tears the cardboard. Testing different bands was part of the fun!

Honestly, why bother? Just buy one - saves the hassle and it'll work better.

Several of those prizes are trending Hot Wheels, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!
