First, craft a bucket, then find any water source and right-click to fill the bucket with water. Next, dig a shallow hole where you want your puddle and right-click again to pour the water into the hole. Instant puddle!
I made a puddle by digging a shallow hole, then filling it with water using a bucket I crafted from iron ingots. Pro tip: Make sure your puddle is somewhere it won鈥檛 dry up, like in a shaded area or near other water sources.
