Honestly, just sculpt with putty and paint. Keeping it simple works best. Overcomplicating things with too many materials or steps can ruin the look.

As someone who's butchered a few Hot Wheels in my time, here's a hot take: unless you're really good with modeling, modifying your Hot Wheels like this can end up looking... not great. Sometimes it's better to appreciate them as they are.

Making a wide body kit for Hot Wheels can be a fun DIY project! Start with selecting a Hot Wheels car you want to modify. Then, using modeling putty, sculpt the wide body parts you'd like to add, like fenders or side skirts, directly onto the car. Be patient; it might take a few tries to get the shape just right. Once you're happy with the form, paint over the putty to match the car's design. For a more detailed finish, you can even add custom decals.

If love Hot Wheels, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Several of those prizes are trending Hot Wheels, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
