How to make corruption powder in Terraria

You can't actually make Corruption Powder in Terraria. It's not a craftable item. However, you can get it from the Dryad NPC after defeating a boss and if your world is a Corruption world. She sells Purification Powder which cleanses the Corruption, but not Corruption Powder itself. If you're looking for something to spread Corruption, you're probably thinking of Vile Powder, which is made from Vile Mushrooms at a Placed Bottle or Alchemy Table!

Vile Powder is what you're after, not 'Corruption Powder.' Easy mix-up! Just grab some Vile Mushrooms from the Corruption biome and craft it at an Alchemy Table. Happy corrupting!

Simple, you don't. Corruption Powder isn't a thing. You might mean Vile Powder, though, which you can make with Vile Mushrooms. Just grab those shrooms and head over to your alchemy station!
