I had the same issue with iOS 15 and GD! What worked for me was updating both my iOS and the game to the latest version. Then I did a hard reset on my phone (don’t worry, it doesn’t delete your data). Hold down the power button and the volume down button until the Apple logo pops up. After the reset, Geometry Dash ran smoothly.
