Honestly, why bother making them invisible? Part of the fun is seeing the chaos unfold with all elements in plain sight. Keeps the adrenaline pumping!
I've done this in a few of my levels. The trick is to use decorations wisely. You gotta think like a magician - distraction is key. Place your jump pad, then put an object directly on top of it that's part of the level design. The players will hit the pad without even seeing it, adding a nice surprise to your level.
