How to Make Someone Else Party Leader in Apex Legends
Super simple! Just go to the lobby, click on the friend you wanna make leader, and look for the option that says 'Promote to Leader'. Click that, and boom, they're the new party leader. Make sure you're the current leader though, or else you won't see the option.

I remember the first time I tried to do this because I was totally clueless about the map. Promoting someone else was a game-changer. Literally, click on their name in the lobby and hit 'Promote to Leader'. Easy peasy.
Just leave the party and rejoin. That'll make someone else the leader automatically. Sometimes it's faster than fiddling with menus!
