Making a surface Mushroom biome in Terraria isn't too hard! You need to collect some Mud Blocks and Mushroom Grass Seeds first. Plant the seeds on the mud blocks. You'll need at least 100 blocks covered in this glowing blue grass to officially create a surface Mushroom biome. It's perfect for farming Glowing Mushrooms and spotting unique critters that spawn only there. Don't forget, it also allows Truffle, the special NPC, to move in if you've got a house ready for him!
Actually, don't bother. It's a lot of work and the underground ones are better. Plus, who needs a Truffle NPC, really?
