Super easy! Go to your fabricator and look under the 'Equipment' section. The thermometer blueprint shows up after scanning a Reaper Leviathan. Good luck, and don't get eaten by that Reaper!

No need to hunt down a Leviathan! Just check Lifepod 5's medical kit fabricator for the blueprint. Once you have it, you need a computer chip and a titanium.
I struggled with this for ages, but turns out you just need a medical kit fabricator! Scan one, and you're good to fabricate your thermometer.
IMHO, ignore the thermometer. Just keep an eye on your depth and don't stay too long in hot areas.
