To mine those spooky Corruption blocks in Terraria, you gotta upgrade your gear! First things first, make sure you have a Nightmare Pickaxe or better. You can craft one using Demonite Bars and Shadow Scales, which you get from defeating the Eater of Worlds. If you're in a hardmode world, a Deathbringer Pickaxe works too, which needs Crimtane Bars and Tissue Samples from the Brain of Cthulhu. Without these, you'll just be tickling those blocks instead of breaking them.

Get a The Reaver Shark pickaxe. It's a bit of a grind since you gotta fish for it in the ocean, but totally worth it. Mines through Corruption like butter.

Honestly, mining corruption blocks before you've defeated the Eater of Worlds is a waste of time. Focus on gearing up first; the blocks can wait.

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
