How to Move Chickens to a New Coop in Stardew Valley
Super easy! First, make sure your new coop is all set up and ready to house your feathered friends. Then, just left-click on a chicken in the original coop and you'll pick it up. Walk over to your new coop, and while still holding the chicken, right-click to place it inside its new home. Remember, chickens like to explore, but they prefer a cozy coop at the end of the day!

Honestly, moving chickens is a hassle. Why not just keep them where they are?
Protip from a seasoned farmer: Make sure your new coop isn't too far from the original one. Chickens can get a bit fussy if their routine changes too much. Also, double-check you’ve upgraded the coop fully for all those extra features your chickens totally need.
Just open the coop door and use some seeds as bait to lead them into their new luxury suite… Just kidding! You need to pick them up and place them in the new coop. No chicken breadcrumbs required.
You don’t actually 'move' them like furniture. You pick them up and carry them over to the new coop. Just left-click to pick up and right-click to put them down in the new spot. Make it a chicken parade!
