How to Move Furniture in Stardew Valley on the Switch
Simple, just press A to pick up the piece of furniture you wanna move. Then, move to where you want to place it and press A again to drop it. Make sure you've got an empty inventory slot before trying to pick up furniture, or else it won't work.

tbh, just grab it with A and plop it down wherever. If it doesn't fit, the game won't let you place it, simple as that.
Just hit A to pick it up and A again to put it down where you want. If you're trying to rotate it, after picking it up, use the right joystick. Some furniture won't rotate though, so don't sweat if it doesn't work.
Protip: Can't move that piece? Make sure nothing's on top of it or directly next to it blocking the spot. Some items need a clear space around 'em to be shuffled around.
Honestly, moving furniture's a bit clunky on the Switch. But yeah, 'A' to pick up and place. You'll get the hang of it.
