Nah, you don't need to empty the chest if you're willing to live dangerously. Just smash it with your tool of choice, and everything inside pops out. Can be a bit of a mess, but hey, it's an option.

To move a storage chest in Stardew Valley, first, make sure it's empty. You can't move chests that have items in them, so take everything out first. Once it's empty, just walk up to it and use your pickaxe to hit it. The chest will then go back into your inventory, and you can place it anywhere you like.

Actually, emptying the chest is crucial unless you enjoy the chaos of your items exploding everywhere. It's like packing for a move; you gotta box things up properly. Use your pickaxe to gently tap the chest into submission and back into your pocket it goes, ready to be placed in a new spot.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
