Just select the units you want to move, hold down the 'Alt' key, and then right-click and drag to set their new position. Your troops will keep their formation like a well-trained army!
Hold down the 'Ctrl' key while selecting the units to group them, then right-click to move them. Formation will stay intact!
Pro tip: Group your units by selecting them and pressing 'Ctrl+G'. Then move them as a unit by selecting the group and right-clicking.
