Muting your mic in Apex Legends on PS4 is pretty straightforward. While you're in a match, just press the 'Options' button to bring up the menu, go to the 'Squad' tab, and you should see your name there. Next to your name, there's a little microphone icon. Hit that, and voila, you've muted yourself! No more worrying about accidentally sharing your snack crunching sounds with the squad.

Another way to do it is through the PS4's quick menu. Hold down the PS button on your controller, head over to 'Sound/Devices', and then you can mute the microphone from there. It's not in-game, but it's another way to make sure you're muted across all your games and party chats, not just in Apex Legends.

Honestly, just unplug the mic. Quick and easy. No menu navigation needed.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
