You need to defeat the Bankai Akuma boss that spawns in Ember Village. He appears at 11:30 AM and PM EST. Remember to bring some friends, he's tough!
Just camp the spawn location in Ember at the right time and hope you get lucky with the drop. Patience is key!
In my experience, the easiest way to get the Bankai Spirit is to team up with friends and take on the boss together. Much easier and more fun!
