Just smash the button! Seriously, walk up to it and press the action button. If nothing happens, make sure it's actually a chest and not just part of the scenery.
Guys, you can't miss it. Right-click or press the action button. If you're aimlessly tapping and nothing's opening, you're probably not facing the chest directly or it's part of the background. Happened to me more than I care to admit!
Honestly, I struggled with this at first because I was overthinking it. Just approach the chest and interact with it using the action button. On mobile, just tap it. Remember, the chest has to be one you can actually open, not part of someone's decoration.
