Pro tip: Save some crates for Hardmode. Opening them after the world switches to Hardmode gives you a chance at Hardmode ores and other valuable items. So, if you can, hold off on opening them all right away!

Opening wooden crates in Terraria is super easy! Just move the crate to your hotbar, select it, and then left-click anywhere on your screen. Voila, the crate will pop open, revealing all its hidden treasures. Make sure you've got some space in your inventory to hold all the goodies!
