I've had plenty of battles in Total War: Warhammer II where overcasting turned the tide! Simply select your spell, and then you'll see an extra button or indicator for overcasting—click that!

To overcast in Total War: Warhammer II, select the spell you want to overcast and then click on the 'overcast' button that appears. Make sure you have enough Winds of Magic!
