If you wanna paint over Pokémon cards, start with thin layers so you don't lose the card details. Acrylics work best cause they're versatile and dry fast. Just make sure to prime the card first with a clear acrylic sealer to help the paint stick better and protect the card. Experiment on a card you don’t care much about first to get the hang of it!

Hot take, but why paint over them? Pokémon cards are art already. If you wanna get creative, maybe try designing your card sleeves instead?

I've painted a few of my doubles for fun. Definitely use acrylic paint and maybe even some fine brushes to get the small details. Works like a charm if you're patient and let each layer dry.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
