I always press L2 and then the base button (e.g., Circle for 1st base) when I'm feeling like a sneaky pitcher. Works like a charm most of the time!

To pick off in MLB The Show 23 on PS5, press L2 to select the base, then quickly press the base button (like Circle for 1st) to initiate the pickoff move. Timing is everything!
