You need to first unlock the Alien Containment blueprint by scanning fragments. Once that's done, build a multipurpose room, and you can place the containment tank in the center with your habitat builder.

Got your blueprint? Good! Just build a multipurpose room, whip out your habitat builder, and slap that bad boy in the middle!

First, make sure you've scanned a few fragments to get the Alien Containment blueprint. Then build a multipurpose room, enter it, and use the habitat builder to place the Alien Containment in the center. Happy fish keeping!

Trust me, I've spent countless hours on this! You need to scan the Alien Containment fragments for the blueprint, build a multipurpose room, and then place it in the center using the habitat builder.
