How to place mushroom seeds in Terraria
Placing mushroom seeds in Terraria is easy peasy! First, make sure you've got some Mushroom Grass Seeds from chopping down glowing mushrooms in the Underground Mushroom biome. You can't just plant them anywhere, though. You need to place them on Mud Blocks. So, find a nice spot of Mud, equip the seeds, and click on the Mud Blocks to plant them. Remember, these seeds only grow in the dark, so no sunlight allowed!

Everyone's saying you gotta plant mushroom seeds on mud, but don't forget: it's gotta be AWAY from sunlight. Tried it near the surface once, thinking I'd have a glowing mushroom garden. Nope. Total bust. Keep it underground and dark, folks.
Just slap those seeds on mud, but in the dark. Glowing mushrooms are picky like that.
