Just set your in-game resolution lower than your monitor's native resolution, and choose an aspect ratio that isn't 16:9. Your GPU settings should handle the rest. Easy peasy.

Playing Valorant with black bars, huh? Just brings you back to the old CS 1.6 days, doesn鈥檛 it? Well, to get those nostalgic black bars, you'll need to dive into your graphics card settings. If you have an NVIDIA card, open the NVIDIA Control Panel, head to 'Adjust desktop size and position', and select 'Aspect ratio'. Then, make sure to pick 'Perform scaling on:' GPU and check the box for 'Override the scaling mode set by games and programs'. For AMD, it鈥檚 a similar dance with the AMD Radeon Settings. Remember, Valorant is a game designed for widescreen, so playing with black bars might make you miss out on some peripheral vision!

Why would anyone wanna play with black bars? Just enjoy the game in full screen! Valorant looks best that way.

If you're a Valorant player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Valorant gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
