Complete your placement matches in Arena mode. It's mostly competitive and has fewer bots since it's skill-based matchmaking.
Honestly, there's no surefire way to play completely without bots. But climbing ranks helps dodge most of them.
Join Duo or Squad matches with friends. It's more likely you'll encounter human players as it's less bot-populated than Solo.
