Actually, Stardew Valley doesn't offer split screen multiplayer on any platform, including the Switch. Your best bet for multiplayer fun is connecting online with friends. Each player will need their own Switch and copy of the game. It's a bit of a bummer, but the online experience is still super fun!

You can't. Stardew Valley on the Switch doesn't support split screen multiplayer. You'd need separate consoles and copies of the game to play multiplayer together. But look on the bright side, it's a great excuse to get cozy and take turns, or team up online!
