How to play Terraria multiplayer without Steam?
Playing Terraria multiplayer without Steam is totally doable! If you've got the game on GOG, you're in luck because it comes with built-in support for crossplay between GOG and Steam. Just make sure both players have the game version up to date. Another way is to directly connect via IP address. One player hosts the game, and the other uses the host's IP address to join directly. Super simple!

All these solutions sound more complicated than they are. Honestly, just stick with Steam, makes life easier.
Just use the host & play option in Terraria itself! The game lets you host a game that others can join by IP. No Steam needed at all.
