Just a quick FYI, you can't use bait with the Bamboo Pole. Gotta upgrade to Fiberglass or Iridium Rod first. Then, just drag and drop the bait onto the rod in your inventory. Easy peasy.

Honestly, forget the bait, fishing in Stardew is all about that tackle life when you get to it. But yeah, for starters, upgrade your rod and right-click bait onto it.

To put bait on a fishing rod in Stardew Valley on a Mac, first make sure you have the Fiberglass Rod or the Iridium Rod, as the starter Bamboo Pole can't be used with bait. Right-click (or use the equivalent command if you're using a trackpad or a different input device) on the bait in your inventory to pick it up. Then, right click on the rod. Voila! Your bait's now attached and you're ready to catch some fish!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
