Just chuck it in the water, mate. But seriously, select it in your inventory, stand by the shore, and click to drop it in. Don't forget to bait it if you actually want to catch something!

Honestly, placing crab pots in the ocean is a waste of time. Better to put them in freshwater sources. Way less hassle with trash items.

To put a crab pot in the ocean in Stardew Valley, just walk up to the edge of the water, select the crab pot in your inventory, and then click on the water where you want to place it. Make sure you're standing close enough to the edge, or it won't work. After that, just wait a day, come back, and see what you've caught!

Pro tip: Put crab pots near the docks to catch a variety of ocean critters. Saves you the trouble of having to fish for them!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
