To record a clip on Xbox Series X, press the Xbox button to open the guide, then press the 'X' button to record the last 30 seconds of gameplay. For longer clips, press the Xbox button, go to 'Capture & share', and select 'Record what happened.'

Just hit the Xbox button on your controller, then press the 'View' button (the one with the two squares) twice to start recording longer clips. Easy peasy!
