You can also do it through the Xbox app on your phone. Open the app, tap the menu button, and select 'Redeem a code'. Enter your code and you're set!

Not gonna lie, it's easier to redeem codes on the Xbox website. Just head to microsoft.com/redeem and enter your code there. Done deal!
