Honestly? Just use a hammer. Start at the edges and work your way in. It's that simple.
Protip: If you're trying to remove a ton of walls quickly, upgrade your hammer. The better the hammer, the faster you'll tear through those walls. Used a Molten Hamaxe myself - works like a charm and doubles as an axe for trees. Efficiency is key!
Not sure why you'd want to remove them, those walls keep the monsters out! ? But if you must, just hammer away. Literally.
