Use your hammer, right-click to bring up the construction menu, and just middle-click (mouse wheel button) on the wall you want to tear down. Poof! It's gone.

Super easy! Equip your hammer, right-click to open the build menu, switch to the 'Remove' tab, then point and click on the wall you want to remove.

Personal experience here: I accidentally built my walls in the wrong place so many times! Just grab your hammer, and middle-click on the walls; they'll disappear and you can re-use the materials!
