Try connecting your Xbox 360 hard drive to a PC with a compatible SATA cable. Use disk management tools to erase the drive completely.

Unfortunately, you can't reset an Xbox 360 without turning it on. You'll need to power it up to access the system settings.

You can reset your Xbox 360 without turning it on by removing the hard drive and reformatting it using a computer, but it鈥檚 a bit tricky! Make sure to back up any important data first!

Sorry! No way to reset it without turning it on. Guess you'll have to dig out that power button!

I had to reset mine once too, and yep, gotta turn it on first! Once it's on, go to System Settings > Console Settings > System Info.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
